Preparatory department
If you are planning to get a high-quality higher education at FESTU or other universities in Russia, but do not speak Russian, we suggest that you study at the Preparatory Department of FESTU. Benefits of learning:

Russian language. Main course
The program is designed for 360 classroom hours. The intensity of training is 20 hours per week. 18 study weeks.
For whom:
- foreigners who speak Russian at a basic level;
- foreigners wishing to improve their language skills up to the first certification level and pass the TORFL test1.
Course objective:
Discipline "Russian language. Advanced course" is intended for students with basic training in Russian as a foreign language. The purpose of this academic discipline is to develop general and communicative competence in relation to speech types of communicative activities related to the basics of Russian as a foreign language, translation activities and professional.
"Walking around Khabarovsk"
The program is designed for 72 classroom hours. The intensity of training is 18 hours per week. 4 study weeks.
For whom:
- foreigners who speak Russian at the basic and first certification levels;
- tourists who came for the purpose of recreation and learning the Russian language;
- students/foreigners who want to expand their cultural knowledge about the city in which they study (live), as well as who want to learn more about the culture and history of Russia and the Far East.
Course objective:
The course of Russian as a foreign language "Walks around Khabarovsk" is intended for students who have training in Russian as a foreign language at the level of basic and first certification levels. The purpose of this course is to enable students to expand their knowledge of the culture and history of Khabarovsk and the Far East.
Russian language courses
We offer foreign citizens, regardless of age and type of activity, to study the Russian language in one of the programs below.
Basic level
The program is designed for 540 classroom hours. The intensity of training is 30 hours per week. 18 study weeks.
For whom: foreigners who do not speak Russian.
This course allows a foreigner to meet the most basic communication needs when communicating with native speakers in a limited number of predictable situations. Situations of communication at this level are associated with daily life, sociocultural and educational spheres. At the same time, the set of language tools that provide communication in these areas is strictly limited in accordance with the communicative needs of this level.
Intensive communication course
The program is designed for 270 classroom hours. The intensity of training is 20 hours per week. 14 study weeks.
For whom:
- foreigners who do not speak Russian;
- foreigners with basic knowledge of the Russian language.
Course objective:
Mastering the Russian language as a means of communication at a level sufficient to meet the most essential communicative needs when communicating with native speakers in a certain set of social situations. Acquaintance with the culture of Russia, its traditions and way of life.
Russian language for businessmen
The program is designed for 540 classroom hours. Intensity 20 hours per week. 18 study weeks.
For whom: foreigners who speak Russian at an elementary or basic level.
The purpose of the course: the study of the Russian language to establish the necessary professional contacts, the active mastery of oral speech skills for business and general language communication.
