Signing of the Agreement Between FESTU and the Government of Fuyuan City (PRC).
As part of the Russia-China Forum in Khabarovsk, an Agreement on Social Partnership was signed between the Far Eastern State Transport University (FESTU; Khabarovsk, Russian Federation) and the People’s Government of Fuyuan City (People’s Republic of China).
The agreement covers key areas of social partnership between Russia’s largest transport university in the Far East and the government of China’s northeasternmost city, including support for student and graduate employment, as well as cultural and educational exchanges between the two parties.
The document was signed by FESTU Rector Vladimir Burovtsev and Fuyuan City Mayor Zheng Shui.

A Shared Access Additive Technology Center has opened at Far Eastern State Transport University in Khabarovsk.
The grand opening was attended by Khabarovsk Krai Governor Dmitry Demeshin, FESTU Rector Vladimir Burovtsev, Executive Director of the Additive Technology Development Association Olga Ospennikova, Head of the Additive Technologies Business Unit at Rosatom State Corporation Ilya Kavelashvili.
The center will serve as a cutting-edge high-tech platform for additive manufacturing (3D printing with plastic, metal and other materials) in Russia's Far East.
It will train specialists in additive manufacturing. Several educational programs have already been developed. In 2024, as part of the Priority 2030 program, FESTU together with Bauman Moscow State Technical University and United Shipbuilding Corporation developed a new undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Additive Technologies.

Roundtable at FESTU on the Prospects of the Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island Checkpoint
A roundtable titled "Development of Border Infrastructure and Its Impact on Tourism and Foreign Trade Activities: The Case of the Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island Checkpoint" was held at the Far Eastern State Transport University (FESTU).
Jiang Xiaoyang, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Khabarovsk, paid considerable attention to the relationship between the governments of the Khabarovsk Territory and Heilongjiang Province. Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island has every chance to become a model region in Sino-Russian cooperation.
Representatives of the People's Government of Fuyuan City (PRC) also joined the roundtable. The tourist flow from Khabarovsk to Fuyuan in 2024 increased by 159 percent, and the opening of a border checkpoint will provide a new impetus to the development of the tourism industry in both countries.
Vladimir Komkov, First Deputy Director of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Agency for Investment Attraction and Innovation Development of the Khabarovsk Territory," shared plans for the development of the Russian part of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island. An interesting proposal was made by Pyotr Yanchenko, Vice President of the Khabarovsk Territory Chamber of Commerce and Industry, regarding the prospects of establishing a training center in Fuyuan City to train specialists in the repair of Chinese-made vehicles.
