  • The results of the III Internet Camp and InterTransCamp Championship were summarized in a solemn online format.

    This year 111 teams from 8 countries of the world took part in the big international project: Russia, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Nigeria, Zambia, Belarus. Students of the Railway Lyceum of Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) were invited as guests of the championship.

    The organizers of InterTransCamp from the Russian side were: FESTU, Federal Agency of Railway Transport of the Russian Federation, Training and Methodological Center for Education on Railway Transport, non-profit organization “Association of Colleges and Technical Schools of Transport of Russia”. The organizers from the Chinese side are Shandong Polytechnic Institute and Zhengzhou Jiean Hi-tech Co. Ltd.

    Within the framework of the online camp, a video questionnaire contest was held among the participating teams. The 3rd place was taken by the team from Indonesia with a question about train control automation, the 2nd place - by the team from Belarus with a question about the place of electric train production, the 1st place - by the team from Malaysia with a question about the red platform.

    It has already become a tradition for the participants of the championship to take a test of knowledge of railway terms in English. Experts tested students' knowledge of more than 200 professional terms. Dmitry Oruzhilo (Krasnoyarsk Institute of Railway Transport) took 1st place.

    In the InterTransCamp world championship the final places were distributed as follows: 3rd place - team of Shandong Polytechnic Institute Zhang Yujia, Zhu Yu. 2nd place - team of Shandong Polytechnic Institute Jin Yuexi, Tang Haozhe. 1st place - team of Amur Institute of Railway Transport (Svobodny) Shupilov Nikita, Dudnikov Georgy.

  • The Rector of FESTU, Vladimir Burovcev, delivered a presentation at the Association of Rectors of Transport Universities in Russia and China.

    The VIII Forum of Transport University Rectors from Russia and China was held in Beijing. Participants discussed new challenges and developments in transport science.

    Participants of the forum were keenly interested in the presentation of FESTU's Rector, Vladimir Burovcev on "International Cooperation in Education as a Way to Build Human Resources Capacity in the Transport Industry." Vladimir Burovcev elaborated on the collaboration between FESTU and universities in the People's Republic of China (PRC), joint educational programs, and cluster-based approaches to training personnel. The educational process involves not only educational institutions, but also government agencies and industry professionals.

    Mr. Burovcev voiced the hope that the efforts of the association and outcomes of this forum will bring about mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian and Chinese universities.

    In May 2014, the Association of Rectors of Transport Universities of Russia and China was established. Since its inception, more than 120 universities have become members of the association, and the forum continues to serve as an effective platform for the exchange of views and ideas.

    The conference took place at the Saint Petersburg State Transport University named after Emperor Alexander I.

    FESTU Rector Vladimir Burovcev delivered a report titled "FESTU: The Eastern Scientific-Educational Frontier of the APR Transport System." In his report, Vladimir Burovcev elaborated on international scientific-educational collaborations, specifically the longstanding partnerships of FESTU with universities in China. He also highlighted the competitive advantages and resource capabilities of FESTU in the international arena and outlined recent initiatives of the university in the international space.

    Among the new scientific focus areas of the university, Vladimir Burovcev extensively discussed the activities of the analysis center and forecasting in the field of multi-transport technologies within the framework of "Priority 2030."

    The conference brought together leaders of higher education institutions from all 10 BRICS countries — China, India, Ethiopia, the UAE, Brazil, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia — as well as prominent transport universities in Russia.
